Jonas lives in a community that all persons are scared because they need to follow rules, when the students say "We accept your apology, Asher (4) ". This quote means that if your are late to something that is important, the people need to say that they accept their rules. In this community people that visit were Jonas lived they do not need to follow the rules, like for example, " Why do you think the visitors didn´t obey the rules? Mother ask (5)”, this means that people that is visiting the community do sent need to follow the rules. A lot of things started to pass someone wants Lily, " But he observed them each year, and he remember Lily´s earliest December (11)." Jonas have lost a log of his child because he have to assist to all the ceremonies for example, "After a Ceremony of Twelve, I missed my childhood recreation. (18)." A lot of people that lived in the community say that to have lighter eyes is very rude " No one mention such things; it was tot a rule, but was considered rude to call the attention to things that were unsetting of different aboy individual (20) . " So Jonas laughed too and with his laughter tried to ignore his uneasy convictions that something had happened ( 25)" this means that Jonas was ignoring his family because he do not want to pay attentions. Larissa was a woman that doesn’t have a family and she said "She never even had a family unit."
3. Final Thoughts and Comments:
This book can be connected with a lot of movies in special the Truman Show. I connect the Giver to the movie the Truman Show when they say "- he also raised two very successful children, and he was also the one who did the landscaping design from the Central Plaza ( 32), when Truman wants to see what is in the other world and he scape. Also i have connected to movie Divergent when they say that they don’t need to move because is very danger and they need to stay in their buildings i connect to the movie because when they are investigating about how is divergent. I also connect to my own live when Jonas is starting to fight with his family; I connect to my sister because my sister fights because of everything. In conclusions this book is being very interesting to read and to make connection.
Anahí I think your post clearly explaining all the chapters in an organized way. The images you had used in your post explain all your thoughts, and makes them be understandable and explainable.
