Waiting for Sun

In Ray Bradbury short story, "All Summer in a Day", is in a city that is always raining , in the school is where that  kids are  learning  about the sun and there is a girl named Margot and she want to see the sun although she already have seen the sun. Next Margot teacher tell the kids that they need to do a work on class and Margot decide to do a poem in which she explaining about the sun, when she was reading the poem then  boy interrupt Margot because William not believe that Margot wrote that poem. In the other hand the teacher was not in the class and the other kids want to log Margot because she believes in the sun and the kids do not believe in the sun. A few hours pass and all the sound of the rain stop and the kids were going outside because the scientific said that the sun were going to appear only for two hours, so the sun appear and the kids go outside to get fun with the sun but Margot was locked in a closed so she cannot see the sun.

I love how Ray Bradbury use Imagery quotes of hearing, and help the reader  understand and create a image in the reader for example:

"Then they closed the door and heard the gigantic sound of the rain falling in tons and avalanches"

This quote can shows us that the people want a lot to see the sun but they can because the only sound they heard is the drops of the rain.

In this short story we can identify a lot of action and the one that explain more is the kids start to crying. In this book we can see that the protagonist is Margot the girl that believe in the soon , and the antagonist is the William the boy that do not believe in the sun, thanks to William, Margot do not see the sun and she start to crying. For example:

"They  surged another, caught her up and before her protesting, and then pleading, and then crying back into a tunnel, a room, a closet, where they slammed and locked the door."

This shows that for Margot the sun was a is very special and a kid ruined the special moment that Margot want to have.

In “All Summer in a Day" the message that Ray Bradbury want to give us is that no let any person ruined your moment that you want to have. These means do not let friends destroy your dreams because every person needs to have one. In this story we can see that William is destroying the dream of Margot seeing the SUN. Margot is not going to give up she will see the sun.
